Construction Technology, Inc. manufactures two models of heavy duty asphalt cutters for loaders, backhoes and motor graders.

Because CTI asphalt cutters are built for hard usage, they cost more than some competitive models--but in the long run they make asphalt cutting easier and more economical because they last longer and are easier to maintain. And no tools are needed for use.

Both models of CTI cutters feature:

• Easy clamping with four-point contact.

• Easy tightening with built-in handle.

• Wide stable contact with bucket or blade.

• Replaceable cutting wheel made of heat treated, abrasive resistant alloy steel.

• Special grease zerk guard to prevent breakage.

• High durability steel frame.

• Special bearing seals to keep debris out and grease in.

• Heavy duty bearings.

CTI ASPHALT CUTTER EFFICIENCY & EFFECTIVENESS

Utility contractors, road patching crews, and municipal street superintendents like asphalt cutters because they do not require the extra manpower and equipment needed with jackhammers and asphalt saws. Work crews can avoid the extra set up and tear down time.

Whether mounted on a loader bucket, a backhoe bucket or a grader blade, the CTI Asphalt Cutter is effective. As the machine moves forward to make its cut, downward force is applied and the hardened steel cutting wheel rotates and cuts through the asphalt, making a clean cut for digging and insuring a good seal for the final patch.

Note:
For the 2000 Model, the maximum allowable downforce is 20,000 lbs!
